MELOS Rubber Inc. held a comprehensive Sustainability Workshop starting from 2024 to strengthen its sustainability vision and to implement its environmental, social, and governance-focused goals with concrete steps. This workshop was an important step aimed at ensuring that all employees of the company adopt the concept of sustainability and contribute to company strategies.





Scope and Structure of the Workshop

The workshop was planned with two different content areas considering the needs and responsibilities of blue-collar and white-collar employees. This way, each employee group was informed appropriately in alignment with sustainability goals and included in the process.


Blue-Collar Trainings: Awareness of Environmental and Social Responsibility

The trainings for blue-collar employees emphasized the fundamentals of environmental sustainability and individual responsibilities.

Additionally, information was provided about social rights issues such as employee rights, salary calculations, working and break hours, which increased employees' awareness regarding job safety and their rights.





White-Collar Trainings: Strategic Sustainability Steps

Critical information was provided to white-collar employees that would form the company’s sustainability roadmap:

• Company goals were defined in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
• Environmental performance, governance, and resource usage were evaluated through Maturity Analysis.
• Topics such as energy efficiency, waste management, social responsibility, and employee rights were prioritized through Strategic Prioritization.

During this process, it was clarified how each department could contribute to sustainability goals.
